R\u00f3wnocze\u015bnie banalny i fascynuj\u0105cy. Je\u017cd\u017c\u0119 stale t\u0105 sam\u0105 tras\u0105, widz\u0119 to samo, te\u017c kr\u0119c\u0119 sw\u00f3j film oczami. Ale co innego widzie\u0107, a co innego zobaczy\u0107, zapisa\u0107 kamer\u0105. Kiedy si\u0119 wniknie w swoje w\u0142asne \u017cycie, przyjrzy si\u0119 konsekwencji swoich wybor\u00f3w, kiedy si\u0119 spojrzy wstecz, na \u017cycie rodzic\u00f3w, swoich i dziewczyny, a potem przyjrzy w\u0142asnym perspektywom &#8211; mo\u017cna straci\u0107 nadziej\u0119. Wiele sekwencji Portretu podw\u00f3jnego zaczyna si\u0119 od ruchu, p\u0119du. Potem nast\u0119puje wyciszenie, p\u0119d zostaje zastopowany, jakby\u015bmy docierali do jakiej\u015b niewidocznej bariery, przed kt\u00f3r\u0105 stoj\u0105 Micha\u0142 i Ewa. Nie tylko oni, ka\u017cde polskie pokolenie. W rado\u015bci filmowania jest co\u015b ekstatycznego, ale lot zostaje powstrzymany. Na szcz\u0119\u015bcie by\u0142y te\u017c filmy &#8211; zjawiska. Najsilniej g\u0142os pokoleniowy zabrzmia\u0142 u Mariusza Fronta. Jego Portret podw\u00f3jny to nerwowo nakre\u015blony obraz m\u0142odych wchodz\u0105cych w \u017cycie ludzi. Ona jest aktork\u0105, on pocz\u0105tkuj\u0105cym re\u017cyserem, oboje szukaj\u0105 swojej szansy. Ona znosi upokorzenia podczas kolejnych casting\u00f3w i dorabia na promocjach w hipermarkecie. On ze swoim niekonwencjonalnym pomys\u0142em na film stuka do kolejnych drzwi i dostaje kolejne lekcje konformizmu. W tym w\u0142a\u015bnie jako film do pewnego stopnia autotematyczny &#8211; Portret Fronta jest najprawdziwszy (\u2026). Nakr\u0119cony cyfrow\u0105 kamer\u0105, prowokuj\u0105cy brulionwym niechlujstwem, ma w sobie co\u015b bardzo szczerego. Najpierw jako opis \u015bwiata za oknem&nbsp; rozp\u0119dzonego, pogr\u0105\u017conego w beznadziei, ale te\u017c na sw\u00f3j spos\u00f3b poetyckiego i godnego uwagi.
